Introduction to The Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge

Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge calibration given volume of water in ml, number of tips and diameter of funnel in mm.


To calibrate fill a container with water.
Weigh it in grams.
Add water very slowly to the raingauge funnel.
Count the number of tips.
Weigh the container again.
Subtract the weights = water volume used in ml.
